For example, we may need to ask you whether you have already been convicted of a crime, have certain political affiliations or other personal matters when applicable local immigration laws require such information for purposes of preparing an application or petition on your behalf or assessing whether certain personal information would prevent you from entering the country. In some cases, the laws of EU member states require us to process sensitive personal information for these purposes, as permitted by the terms of the GDPR; at other times, we will ask for your explicit consent to process this information.
