Yesterday was a very special day for me because I met Mr. Mario Kreutzberger "Don Francisco Sábado Gigante's Sábado Gigante at the Hispanicize 2015. The event brings together personalities from journalism, blogging, marketing, entertainment and entrepreneurs.
Hispanicize presented Don Francisco with the "Latinovator Award" for his impressive professional career and humanitarian work.
I came to the United States from El Salvador in 1981. For several years, my family and I watched Sábado Gigante on a regular basis.
The program helped us greatly. For example, with the "Traveling Camera" we learned about other countries and cultures. And "El Chacal de la Trompeta" and "La Cuatro" made us laugh immensely, helping us to temporarily forget the daily hardships experienced by a low-income immigrant family..
Thank you so much Don Francisco for your contributions to the entertainment world and for your humanitarian work. You have positively impacted many people, including my family.
