United States extends work permits under TPS for El Salvador

U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador Ronald Johnson and President Nayib Bukele today announced that the United States will grant a 12-month extension to the work permits of Salvadorans registered in the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program.

A video of the announcement can be seen below:

The official announcement will be made in the Federal Register which will explain the process to take advantage of the new extension.

It is important that any person with TPS see a licensed and experienced immigration attorney to determine if they are eligible to apply for permanent residency.

Please do not wait until the last minute, as the processing of any paperwork takes time.

I will keep you informed of further developments.
