USCIS updates guidance for immigrants

UCIS-guide for immigrantsU.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has updated its publication "Welcome to the United States of America: A Guide for New Immigrants".

This guide contains practical information to help new immigrants find a place to live, how to obtain a Social Security number, and how the U.S. government works.

The guide was redesigned and includes updated information on policies, programs and resources. In addition, a new chapter entitled "Managing Your Money" was added, covering personal finance, taxes and financial scams, and another, entitled "Understanding Education and Health Care," covers the education system, adult education programs and the health insurance marketplace.
