Hundreds of thousands of people marched today around the United States to call for comprehensive immigration reform and to express their opposition to anti-immigrant laws such as Arizona's recently passed SB1070. I was at the Los Angeles march where thousands of people showed up peacefully to call for positive change.
It was great to see people of different races and cultures come together to urge our representatives in Congress to act as soon as possible to fix our system of immigration laws. We must continue to fight so that this important issue does not continue to be ignored in Washington.
