The Senate was supposed to vote this morning to begin debate on S.3992, known as the DREAM Act. But with a lack of votes and the danger of the DREAM Act being rejected, the Senate passed the motion to move the vote on the bill to next week.
Republicans insist they will not support the measure. Several Democrats have also expressed opposition to the DREAM Act.
