President Obama to announce executive action on immigration tomorrow

President Barack Obama today recorded a message announcing that tomorrow, Thursday, November 20, he will announce the steps he will take to begin fixing the immigration system.

The President said he will release a list of actions he can take using his authority as President to make the system work better. He said that in the meantime, he will continue to work with Congress to try to pass bipartisan legislation that will lead to comprehensive immigration reform that can solve the problem in its entirety.

In the minute-long video message, the President noted that while everyone agrees that the immigration system is "broken," Congress has for too long allowed it to worsen the problem.

The President will make the official announcement live from the White House at 8 p.m. ET.
