President Obama urges Congress to pass immigration reform

President Obama is at this moment giving his state of the nation address. A few minutes ago he urged the U.S. Congress to pass immigration reform this year, noting that the country's economy grows even more when we allow immigrants to come to the United States to "realize their dreams - to study, invent, and contribute to our culture - that make our country a more attractive place for businesses to locate and create jobs for all."

During the remainder of the speech which has been provided by the White House and published by the New York TimesPresident Obama no longer mentions the topic of immigration. Last year President Obama spoke more on the subject.
