The U.S. government began construction of a new consulate in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
The project, which will include the construction of a multi-building complex, will cost approximately $$155 million and will be located south of downtown Nuevo Laredo on Paseo Colon.
The purpose of the new complex is to have a safer consulate with better facilities to serve the public.
Construction is expected to be completed in September 2017.
