U.S. Immigration Court will not eliminate interpreters

Several Immigration Courts around the United States have begun using explanatory videos to provide immigrants with information about their rights during their first hearings. But that does not mean the use of interpreters will be eliminated, says the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). "EOIR has not eliminated interpreters, and in-person and telephone interpreters are available for after the video notices are shown," an EOIR spokeswoman says.
