Due to COVID-19, EOIR again postpones preliminary hearings

Preliminary hearings for immigrants not detained have again been postponed due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) had reported that the immigration courts would remain closed to attend to these cases until May 29th. But today, announced another extension.

Preliminary hearings in immigrant cases not detained (master calendar hearings) are postponed until Friday, June 26, 2020.

The only exception is the Honolulu, Hawaii Immigration Court which will resume hearings in non-detained cases on Monday, June 15, 2020.

If you have a case pending in immigration court, you should regularly check the EOIR website to stay informed about the workings of the immigration courts in the United States.
