The company ImpreMedia, which owns the daily newspapers La Opinión of Los Angeles, El Diario/La Prensa New York Times and other newspapers around the country, this week launched a special project on the controversial S.B. 1070 law.

Several lawsuits challenging the law are currently being contested in a court in Phoenix, Arizona. If the federal judge hearing the arguments does not block the law soon, S.B. 1070 will go into effect this Thursday, July 29.
