USCIS office closings and immigration court closings

All government agencies and offices, including U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and immigration courts, will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.

Any interviews scheduled by government offices for that day will be rescheduled. Affected individuals will be notified of the new dates for their appointments.

If you programmed a InfoPass or other appointment, you should reschedule it on your own as soon as possible.

The closure is by executive order of President Donald J. Trump, who chose Dec. 5 as a day of mourning in honor of former President George Herbert Walker Bush, who died Nov. 30.

Additionally, USCIS has the following offices closed this week:

Anchorage, Alaska

Due to the November 30 earthquake, the field office and application support center will remain closed until December 6.

Atlanta, Georgia

The asylum office closed today at 12:30 pm ET due to a water management issue in the city. It is expected to reopen on Thursday, December 6, 2018.
