On Wednesday I informed you that the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) plans to make changes to the automated immigration case information system. Yesterday the EOIR announced that the changes are postponed until October 4, 2010.
The EOIR's new decision is due to the opposition expressed to the EOIR by several groups representing thousands of immigrants including the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I believe that the EOIR should not implement the changes it has proposed because it will negatively affect the immigrant community.
